In Memory of Ramblin - March 7, 2005
The following article was submitted by Rachel Breton who lost her
beloved horse, Ramblin, just a few weeks ago. Ramblin was one of
those dynamic horses who could do it all and will be greatly missed.
I purchased Ramblin from a dairy farm when she was 11
years of age. I had to do a little bit of work with her because
she did not neck rein. We did trail rides witht he club and she
turned out to be a great trail horse. We were also on the drill
team for a few years, and have done parades.
The last parade I did with her was in Lewiston and was
asked to carry the American Flag for the Veterans Day Parade. We
were also on the Mid Maine Equestrian Search & Rescue Unit and she was
and outstanding asset. The kids used to come over to ride her and
she took very good care of them. She was the best horse I ever
had.
I will always treasure and remember the good times we
shared on the rides with the club.
