Andover Trail Ride
September 22nd
Hosted by Cathy Small

Andover Ride - Sept 22, 2018: The Andover ride is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 22, 2018. We will be leaving the trailers at 10 am and we will plan on having our lunch out on the trail.

You are welcome to come camp anytime between Sept 17 - Sept 24, 2018. There will be water available in several locations, from the Ellis River which is right beside our camp site or at the town cemetery there is a water faucet we can use too. THERE WILL BE NO PORT-A-POTTIES AVAILABLE. There will be a fee of $10 per night, per rig for camping and this money will be donated to the Town of Andover for letting us use their field and the Andover Water District for letting us use their water at the cemetery. If you write a check, please make check payable to MTRA. I will be sending them a nice thank you card with a check when I get home.

Come and enjoy the week or just a few days, it's a wonderful town. Popular attractions include but not limited to "Devil's Den" which is about a 20-minute ride from our camp site by vehicle. Go out the So Arms Road to the Devil's Den Road, follow the signs. It's amazing to explore and don't forget your cameras. Another attraction is the Lovejoy Covered Bridge in So Andover. You can actually ride your horse through this bridge, waaaay cooool!

Also plan on one of your meals at the "The Little Red Hen". Whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner, boy do they serve delicious food. Everything they serve is made fresh on-site. You can check out their menu at www.littleredhendiner.com

There are also a couple of small country stores in town for anything you might have forgotten at home. They also have ice cream.

There are several falls available to visit here too. Dunn Falls near Andover or Angle Falls near Byron just to name a few. It's always fun to take a lawn chair and sit in the Ellis River on a hot day or even take a walk down the river.
